The data controller is Avv. Christian Belliardo — Studio Legale, with registered office at Salita Fontana del Ferro, 24 — 37129 Verona (Italia), P.IVA 03995680232. Contact: avvocati@studiobelliardo.it · Tel. +39 045.8011276.
2. Data We Collect
Through the "Submit a Claim" form we collect the data you provide voluntarily: company name, contact person, business email address, telephone number, country, approximate claim amount, a description of the matter, and any documents you choose to upload (e.g. contracts, invoices, correspondence). When browsing, our hosting platform processes standard technical connection data (IP address, browser type, access logs). A country-level geolocation check is performed solely to direct Italian visitors to the institutional Italian website; it does not involve profiling.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis
Your data is processed exclusively to: (a) carry out a preliminary assessment of your request and, where appropriate, prepare a fee proposal — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures); (b) comply with legal, tax and professional obligations applicable to the legal profession — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; (c) ensure the security of our IT systems — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). No marketing, promotional or newsletter activities are carried out on the data submitted through this website.
4. Professional Secrecy
All information transmitted through this website is covered by legal professional secrecy pursuant to Art. 622 of the Italian Criminal Code and the Italian Code of Conduct for the legal profession (Codice Deontologico Forense), regardless of whether a mandate is ultimately conferred.
5. Data Retention
If no professional mandate follows, the data and documents submitted are deleted within 12 months of the last contact. If a mandate is conferred, the data is retained for the duration of the engagement and thereafter for the periods required by civil and tax law (ordinarily 10 years).
6. Recipients and Transfers
Data is hosted on cloud infrastructure and platform providers acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR, and transmitted via a transactional email service used solely to notify the firm of new submissions. Data is never sold or disclosed to third parties for their own purposes. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area takes place only under an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your Rights
You may exercise at any time the rights under Articles 15–22 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) by writing to avvocati@studiobelliardo.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
8. Automated Decision-Making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, is carried out on the data submitted. Every request is reviewed personally by a lawyer.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with access controls and audit logging. Access is limited to the firm's authorised personnel.
